BEAC 10th Session 2005

BEAC 10th Session, Harstad, 9 - 10 November 2005

Norway hosted the 10th session of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council, which also marked the conclusion of Norway’s two-year chairmanship in 2003-2005 and start of Finland’s chairmanship in 2005-2007.


The meeting was held in Harstad, County of Troms, Norway, on 9 and 10 November.

On 9 November the Barents Regional Council held its meeting in Harstad, ending the two-year chairmanship of the County of Vasterbotten, Sweden, and start of the chairmanship of the Republic of Karelia, Russia.

The Barents Council adopted a comprehensive joint communique.
