The two-week long climate conference in Paris has come to an end, resulting in a new, and for the first time global, agreement on climate change.

MFA Finland presents a summary of activities during the Finnish BEAC chairmanship 2013-2015

The exhibition “Climate Change in Lapland’s Nature” is shown at the climate conference (COP21) in Paris in December 2015 and during the upcoming weeks. The photo exhibition is one of thirteen exhibitions in the Climate Generations Areas, which are open to the public during the entire conference.

On 23 – 27 November 2015 the Northern Arctic Federal University in Arkhangelsk hosted the III International Belomorskiy Students Forum.

12th Meeting of the Environment Ministers under the Barents Euro-Arctic Council took place in Sortavala, Russia on 24-25 November 2015. The meeting was attended by the senior officials of Finland, Norway, Russia and Sweden, as well as representatives of indigenous peoples, regional bodies, environmental organizations and other invited guests.
