Barents Euro-Arctic Council (BEAC) is the forum for intergovernmental and interregional cooperation in the Barents Region. BEAC was established in 1993 in order to "provide impetus to existing cooperation and consider new initiatives and proposals".

Several ongoing cultural projects in the Barents region

The Joint Working Group on Culture met 17-19 April in Sortavala, Russian Karelia, to continue its work on cultural issues.  The agenda included a presentation of the status of the ENPI project led by Norrbotten County Council, which is the largest ENPI cultural program ever. Read more...
